Seeking

The past few days have been a battle up the mountain. I phrase it that way because God is bringing me out of a valley that I myself caused, although the circumstances didnt help! I had the amazing revelation the other day of admitting to Him (even though He knows every detail of my life) areas that I am weak in! It does sound pretty trivial, but I feel like that was a huge step in knowing more of God's heart! He has taught me to lean on His strength and power. WOW! I have been in deep prayer over my situation: whether I need to still live in NJ and if He really lead me here, if God brought me here to stretch me and grow me closer to Him or if I need to go back to RI. The middle truly has happened and I am most grateful for it! I am struggling with working at the Starbucks that I am at, too, and being 'abused' in a lot of ways....not literally in the physical sense :) I am just seeking God to make it sooo clear to me what I am to do. So for those who pray for me thank you for your faithfulness!! love ya dearly.

Praising the Lord!

God is so amazing! I'm more excited each and every day that I am here in NJ. God is showing me so many things about myself, but is also using Jeff's cancer as a huge testimony to so many among us. I've had the chance to share my testimony of how Jesus came into my life with a few people at work and it has been incredible...all because it was when God wanted the conversation to be had. In my quiet time each day I have been surrendering as much as I know how to Him and am just astonished with what He enjoys doing through a surrendered heart! I see more of my purpose here each and every day and my heart if overjoyed. I'm praising God for His faithfulness in so many situations and I pray you would find Him in your day...because we aren't promised tomorrow....

Starbucks adventure...day 3

Today was day 3 at my new store! It went sooooo much better than I anticipated! It is still very lonely without all of my before 7am regulars back at Wayland Sq. I miss them so much and while I am at work I constantly think of the many drinks that I dont hear at this store like John's double-tall latte...or Steve and the boys' coffee....Jane's special short coffee...Ralph's furniture and toasted raisin bagel.... :( It makes me oohhh so sad! For any of you reading this I would love to hear from you if you are from my store! Its funny that there are so many different connections over a cup of coffee!!
I think today went especially well because I surrendered to Him and allowed Him to shine through me and not take charge of things myself. I tell you I had TONS less stress today because of it! The blessings that come when I let God do what He can only do best!! It was even more amazing because I got to spend a FULL 35ish minutes reading my Bible this morning and praying..what an awesome balance this morning and it was so incredible!!! How are you starting your day??

Please Pray!!!

Please keep Narrow Road - NJ in prayer. We got the results back from the CAT scan that Jeff Frye took. The spots on his right lung is malignant. Im not sure what this means exactly, but we are trusting God for His perfect will to be done. Also there is a meeting on Friday with Jon who has the 'say-so' on whether we get offered Bloomingdale Baptist Church for the girls home or not. I know that God is faithful and has called me here at such a perfect time as this. Thanks for all of your prayers and I will try to keep this updated too.

Beginning Days

Today marks the second day in Jersey!! Yay!! Lots to be told, but time is limited. The more important information to share is how faithful God has been to me. I am learning a lot from being here and have had some tough conversations already....but this is part of why I came, right? I am a bit homesick and miss having all of my comforters around me. I don't have my Starbucks patio to go and hang out on with my favorite customers :( I do start work on Tuesday and look forward to a new start. It will truly be different! Keep praying!!
